Step-by-Step Instructions

Step Instruction
1 Show the Alligator:
Explain to your child, “This alligator loves to eat the bigger number! Let’s help the alligator decide which number is bigger.”
2 Explain the Concept:
Talk about the meanings of more than, less than, and equal to. Use simple examples like comparing 2 and 5.
3 Write Two Numbers:
Using the marker, write two numbers between 1 and 50 in the boxes provided on the sheet (e.g., 23 and 49).
4 Let the Child Participate:
Ask your child, “Which number is bigger, 23 or 49?” Encourage them to think about it.
5 Demonstrate Movement:
Show how to adjust the alligator’s mouth to point to the larger number using the pins to move it.
6 Repeat with Different Numbers:
Choose other number pairs and repeat the activity, letting the child adjust the alligator’s mouth.
7 Give Praise:
