Materials Needed

  • Magnetic cutouts of community helpers’ dress (doctor, tailor, firefighter)
  • Magnetic cutouts of tools (scissors, doctor’s notepad, fire extinguisher)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step Instruction
1 Recall the Concept of Helpers:
Talk to the child about community helpers. Ask, “Can you name some helpers we know, like a doctor, or tailor?”
2 Show the Cutouts:
Place all magnetic cutouts (boy, helpers, and tools) in front of the child where they can easily see and reach them. Let the child explore and play with them.
3 Introduce Magnets in a Fun Way:
Say: “Look! When we put the helper’s dress on the boy, they stick together like magic!” Explain that magnets help things stick together without glue.
4 Dress the Boy as a Doctor:
Guide the child to place the magnetic doctor’s dress on the boy. Ask: “What tool does the doctor use — scissors, a doctor’s notepad, or a fire extinguisher?” Help the child choose the right tool and explain, “A doctor helps sick people get better.”
5 Offer Praise:
Give positive feedback for correct answers such as: “Great job!” or “You got it right!”
6 Dress the Boy as a Firefighter and Tailor:
Help the child first dress the boy as a firefighter. Explain: “A firefighter helps put out fires and keeps people safe.” Then guide them to dress the boy as a tailor, explaining: “A tailor makes and fixes clothes for people.”
7 Discuss the Tools:
Explain the purpose of each tool: • Scissors are used by the tailor to cut fabric. • The fire extinguisher helps the firefighter put out fires. • The stethoscope allows the doctor to listen to a patient’s heartbeat and breathing. • The notepad is used to write important health information.
8 Wrap-Up:
Celebrate the child’s effort and understanding with praise!
