Step-by-Step Instructions
| Step | Instruction |
|---|---|
| 1 | Arrange the Materials: Cover the table with newspaper or a mat to protect it from paint. Place the sponge and paints within easy reach of the child. |
| 2 | Explain the Activity: Show the child the three hollow cutouts with the texts: “I Love Mummy”, “I Love Papa”, and “I Love Bachpan”. Explain that they will decorate these using sponges and watercolours to create beautiful fridge magnets to display at home. |
| 3 | Demonstrate Sponge Painting: Teach the child how to dip a sponge lightly into paint, squeeze out excess, and gently dab onto the cutout to fill the area with colour. Encourage exploration of different colours and blending for creativity. |
| 4 | Set Cutouts Aside to Dry: After painting, let the cutouts dry on a flat surface for 15–30 minutes depending on the amount of paint used. |
| 5 | Check Magnets: Once dry, remind the child that magnets are already attached to the back. Show how the cutouts can stick to the fridge or any magnetic surface. |
| 6 | Admire, Display, and Clean Up: Praise the child’s work. Discuss where they may place the magnets at home. Help wash sponges, wipe the table, and ensure hands are clean after painting. |
