Step-by-Step Instructions
| Step | Instruction |
|---|---|
| 1 |
Introduction: Recall the concept of farm, wild, and domestic animals. Show the child the animal cutouts and activity sheets, explaining that each animal lives in a specific habitat. |
| 2 |
Sorting the Animals: Ask the child to sort the animals into groups: farm, wild, and domestic. For example: “Where does the cow live? On the farm, in the jungle, or in a house?” |
| 3 |
Preparing the Activity Sheet: Provide the child with three EVA sheets—one for each habitat (green for farm, green for jungle, blue for house). Spread them on the three activity sheets with habitat images placed underneath. |
| 4 |
Inserting Cutouts & Discussion: Guide the child to insert the animal cutouts (lion, dog, cow, etc.) into the correct habitat on the EVA sheets. Discuss why each animal belongs in its specific habitat, encouraging the child to observe differences between animals and their environments. Use double-sided tape to attach EVA sheets with slits onto the habitat images. |
| 5 |
Display: Once the habitats are complete, let the child display their work proudly, showcasing where each animal lives. |
| 6 |
Questions to Encourage Thinking: • Where does the lion live? The child might respond, “The lion lives in the jungle.” • How do you think animals feel in their natural habitats? The child might respond, “I think they feel safe and happy.” |
